Manchester Building Society migrate to MV Core Banking
Manchester Building Society has become the 24th Building Society to join the Digital Mutual and become a part of the Mutual Vision community. MBS and MV have agreed a deal to migrate the Society’s core banking platform for its savings accounts and mortgages from a Sopra Steria system over to MV’s ProVision Core banking system. The migration project is already well underway with a close and collaborative working relationship resulting in excellent progress to date.
Speaking about the partnership, Andy Atkinson, Business Development Director at MV said: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome MBS to the MV family. MBS’s decision to select MV as the right strategic partner for their core banking system hinged on our ability to demonstrate a proven track record of migrating core banking systems successfully. Migrating a legacy system is something that many societies understandably approach with caution but as one of the foremost migration experts in this field, we are able to dramatically reduce the risks involved which provides great comfort to our new customers”.
Andy continued: “As the Digital Mutual to the building society and specialist banking sector, MV are positioned to not only deliver on a technological front but we are perfectly aligned with the values of MBS and the sector as a whole”.
Speaking about their decision to migrate to MV’s ProVision Core, Paul Lynch, Chief Executive Officer at MBS said: “Finding the appropriate core banking solution as well as the expertise to deliver to time and budget was a critical part of the decision making process. We have found MV to be pragmatic and diligent with their delivery process and it certainly offers MBS the confidence that we have made the right choice bringing them onboard as a technology partner. I am pleased to say that the project is off to a fantastic start with both organisations working exceptionally well together with migration costs currently running on time and within budget”.
With their new core banking system, MBS will benefit from rich functionality, a thriving partner ecosystem, and innovative analytics and reporting capabilities, enabling them to deliver on their strategy and improve the value they can provide to their members.
