We caught up with new MV Product Owner Jamie Marshall to find out a little about him and why he’s so excited to have joined MV

What is your background? Where have you joined us from?

My career has largely been within the financial sector, this is made up of a 21-year stint working in various different roles for Santander. I started all the way back in 2003 as a cashier and have progressed through many roles in the Branch that include Personal Banker and Branch Leader.

More recently I had the opportunity to join the HR team in 2018 as a learning coach before taking a Product Owner role 5 years ago, I gained a great deal of experience and skills during this time and wanted to continue this journey when I decided to move on from Santander.

I was fortunate enough to have a portfolio of Products to work through which allowed me to work across multiple functions, this provided the opportunity to work on Strategic, transformation and career development solutions.

What appealed to you about working with digital banking platforms?

I have enjoyed working with the various digital platforms at Santander and wanted to take this forward in my next role, having seen what Mutual Vision offer, and the way the business is constructed I felt really excited about the challenge.

Digital banking platforms have advanced at such a rate and will continue to do so as our customer needs evolve, it’s for this reason that we have the opportunity to make a real difference to our customers.

What appealed to you about working at Mutual Vision?

It was clear from the outset that MV has a culture that aligns to the way I like to work, there is a clear vision and plan for what the future entails, which is exciting to be a part of.

I have a financial services background that spans 21 years and am excited to be working for a forward-thinking business which continues to push the boundaries to ensure they offer market leading financial solutions to our customers.

Since joining I have had the pleasure of meeting so many passionate and knowledgeable people who are aligned to the vision and goals of the business, I am looking forward to achieving these goals together and supporting our customers by delivering the transformational changes that we have set out.
