Meet Jo, Business Consultant at MV
With an increase in demand for MV Professional Services, the team welcomes Jo Wade who has come onboard as a Business Consultant. We sat down with Jo to find out what her role entails, and what she is focussing on in her new position.
MV: So, why did you join MV?
JW: The majority of my career has been in operationally focussed roles within financial services, spending the last 20 years at MBNA in a diverse role spanning the full project lifecycle. I was immediately excited when I read the Business Consultant description as it felt like the type of role I could really get stuck in to and fit my skill set perfectly. Coming from a large commercially driven organisation, I was really taken by the mutuality ethos at MV and it was clear that there is a strong collaborative culture here – both internally and with the customers.
MV: What are your first impressions?
JW: My first impressions have been great! Despite the remote working aspect, everyone has taken the time to reach out and say hello – I guess that is the beauty of working for a smaller organisation. From day one, it was clear that everyone is working toward the same common goals and they have a really keen focus on helping their customers succeed. I have also had the opportunity to see all the MV products in action which is great for me when it comes to understanding customers processes and procedures. I have to make a special mention to my colleagues Louise and Andy in Professional Services, who have made me feel so welcome and part of the team.
MV: Any particular projects you are looking forward to?
JW: Being part of the growing Professional Services team, my day to day focus is to help customers with operational resilience support. I am here to guide them through change with business transformation projects and I find that really exciting. In addition, I have to say that I am looking forward to working on the Jade ThirdEye implementation with the Product Team. This will give me the opportunity to get to know the customers better and bring them a solution to improve their day to day tasks.
MV: What keeps you happy outside of work?
JW: I have two dogs, Sammy a Collie and Shelby a young Cocker Spaniel. I think it’s fair to say that they keep me busy outside of work and have been a great antidote to the box set binging I have been doing during lockdown!
